City of Style

Hello,

So yesterday (10th April) my father and I, took a trip to London, just to have some father daughter time before I have my exams. We travelled to Kensington (I Think) and went to the Victoria and Albert museum. I recall to be one of the largest designing museums in the world. I was gobsmacked with a the detailing and precision that goes into all the works. My favourite was the fashion section!
But the real reason we went was to see the works of the Incredible 'Alexander McQueen' in his 'Savage Beauty' Exhibition. There was around8-9 different rooms filled to the brim with mannequins, wearing his outrageous yet beautiful designs, and of course the rooms wouldn't be completed without a few of his quotes on the walls.
"I want women to feel empowered".
"Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of Imprisonment."
I did get told of for taking photos, but tonnes of people were, who wouldn't want to have a reminder of his stunning creations. Anyway I would highly recommend going there, I think the exhibition is on throughout August.

Also we took a trip to Oxford Street, and ventured to Selfridges, in which I was on a mission to see if they had any of the MAC Cinderella collection, they did not. Then we went to Forever 21 were I did do some damage to my debit card oops. I may do a haul on what I got.
And of course we got hungry so we went to A lovely Greek Restaurant, Where I had Lamb meatballs and a salad couscous thing.Yum!!

What's your favourite thing about London ?
